A small Pagoda style temple, Muktinath is one of the popular pilgrimages located in the lap of Thorong La Mountain pass, Mustang district at the altitude of 3710m. Muktinath is derived from two words “Mukti” and “Nath” which means “Salvation or Nirvana” and “God or Master” so it is also known as “Mukti Kshetra” or “Abode of Salvation”.

Both Hindu and Buddhist come here to worship the Lord God Vishnu. Hindus call this temple as Mukti Kshetra which means Place of Liberation and Buddhists call it as Chumig Gyatsa, which in Tibetan means ‘Hundred Waters’. Most of the People come here to take bath in 108 scared water spouts which are also known as Mukti Dhara. In the front and backyard of Muktinath, you can also see holy ponds name as Mukti Kunda.   • 1. Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport ?
    Yes, our representative will be there to greet you at the airport. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel by a private car/jeep.

    Yes, there will be small orientation/briefing program before we embark on our adventure by the tour manager, leader/guide.
  • 3. What is the overnight accommodation like ?
    We use standard /deluxe rooms for overnight stay during the Muktinath Tour as per the client’s personal desire and comfort.
  • 4. How big are the groups ?
    We believe in operating small intimate group to provide personal attention and services to our guests. Small groups can enjoy the trip hassle free and enjoy the customized trip according to their will so we try to keep group as small as group of 14 but it can be increased with the special request of the clients.

    The major purpose of this trip is to explore the culture and tradition of Muktinath Temple. And also to enjoy the religious tour in the land of Mustang, while blending with the beautiful nature at the altitude of 3710m.

    This trip is around the Kathmandu, Pokhara, Jomsom and Muktinath so you can get a wide range of delicious meal. Dal Bhat (Rice, Lentils and Vegetables) is the typical Nepali cuisine. Also, you can get western meals like pasta, pizza, burger, chicken, noodles, etc.
  • 10. Is the drinking water safe during the trip ?
    There are plenty of water stations and mini markets and shops where you can easily get bottled water. We recommend that you bring water purifier tablets with you in case you need it for yourself. You have to buy it for yourself.
  • 11. What mode of transportation do you use during the trip ?
    We use a private transportation for sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley and we use domestic flight from Kathmandu-Pokhara-Jomsom-Pokhara-Kathmandu.
  • 12. What is the best season for this trip ?
    Spring season (March-May) and autumn season (September-November) are the best time to do this trip.
  • 13. Will I be taken care of during emergency ?
    The health of the client is the first priority of our team. In case of any emergency you face during the trip, we immediately take action to cure your health by transmitting you to the hospital or first-aiding you. We serve our clients like gods so you don’t have to worry much about this matter.
  • 14. What is the appropriate dress for this trip ?
    Muktinath Trip is a little bit tiresome activity that requires a lot of physical movement. So, pack your active wears and trekking pants for at lower altitudes. Weather at high altitude is unpredictable so carry a light weight waterproof jacket along with thick down jacket, pant and thermal inner wear to escape severe cold. Needless to say the good shoe is very important for trekking in rough terrain. So invest on good quality shoes or rent it from us in a minimum price. As you are trekking in remote village, try to wear modest clothes to quickly gel up with the local people without hesitation.
  • 15. Is it possible to alternate or change the day trip ?
    We customize the trip according to your preference but if you need to change plan during the tour, consult the guide.
  • 16. Are we sure to get room while doing this trip ?
    We contact the hotel owner for reservation of the room before we start a trip so there will not be any problem in the particular day.
  • 17. Are your guide(s) reliable and certified ?
    All our guides are trekking experts holding license from Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Government. They are the most valuable assets of the company. Guides know the route like the back of their hand and use their expertise in ensuring your safety. They also are well qualified about the city areas along with their ancient hidden stories behind the places.
  • 18. How can I charge my electronics ?
    You can charge your electronics in the hotel where you spend your night. But in case of emergency, you can bring your own power bank for charging your electronics.
  • 19. Is there any communication while we are on this trip ?
    You can make local and international calls from telephone provided by the hotel owner after paying certain amount directly.
  • 20. Can I add extra day(s) to my trip ?
    If you need extra day to complete the trip, you'll need to inform the guide in advance and the guide will let the company know. Adding a day to trip can result in many changes in other arrangements such as transportation, guide's schedule, flight details, hotel bookings and all, so we really don't recommend this to our clients unless there's an emergency cases. But it's true that those changes could be made but it will cost extra. The best way to do it is to inform the agent company about it.
  • 21. What immunizations will I need ?
    Before coming to Nepal, make sure you are covered for diphtheria & TB, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, malaria, typhoid, polio and tetanus. Make sure you are in best shape to complete the trip without any complication.
  • 22. Can we use credit card during the trip ?
    Yes, you can use the credit card during the trip. But make sure to withdraw few Nepali amounts in case of emergency.
  • 23. How will my booking be processed ?
    To confirm your booking, a deposit of 15% of total trip amount is required if you are booking at least a year in advance before trip departure date. If booking is made between 100-364 days before the trip departure, you'll need to pay 20% to confirm the trip. If payment is made between 99-60 days, 25% of the total trip amount will need to be paid and if booked between 59-30 days, 50% of the total trip amount needs to be paid and finally, if you are booking 29 days prior to trip departure, then 100% payment should be made. The payments can be easily made by the bank transfer. The due balance is payable on arrival in Kathmandu with cash (preferably USD/EURO) or card on POS/credit card machine. Please note that nonrefundable fee is 10% or $200 whichever is greater.
