Why This Trip ?

Chepang is an ethnic group residing in Mahabharata range of Nepal with rich culture and tradition. They have adopted semi-nomadic lifestyle that is quite opposite of the rest of the population in Nepal. With very few population and limited resources, this ethnic group is poorest and most underprivileged people of Nepal. Nevertheless, these people are fascinating and the surrounding hill area makes this trip even more exciting.

Comprehensive Trek Guide

multi line

Chepang Village trekking takes trekkers through unexplored beautiful hillside located in Chitwan district. It is short and easy trek towards the indigenous Chepang communities of Nepal. Chepang village is the homeland of Chepang people who live a semi-nomadic life and rich in their own old culture, tradition, and lifestyle.

They have often been characterized as the poorest of Nepal’s poor. Due to their own culture, tradition, lifestyle and the remoteness of their homeland, they belong to the many marginalized groups of Nepal. Chepang Village Trekking is mainly opened to promote the culture and livelihood of Chepang People.

This beautiful trek starts from Hungdi and ends at Shaktikhor. It’s a trek which mainly focuses on the culture, lifestyle of Chepang people and natural sceneries which will attract you and make you step forward. From Sirachuli, you can get the stunning sunrise view as well as magnificent views of the Himalaya. This village lies at a moderate altitude with comfortable climate.

Tipping Recommendation

We recommend allocating 10-15% of your total tour cost to tipping guides, drivers, and other hardworking staff who ensure your experience is unforgettable. While tipping is not mandatory, it is a meaningful way to support the seasonal workers who dedicate themselves to making your trip extraordinary.

By booking with us and participating in the tipping culture, you are directly contributing to Nepal’s local economy and helping sustain the tourism workforce. This support is crucial in retaining talent within the country and addressing challenges like brain drain.

Your generosity makes a lasting impact—thank you!
