The Eastern Nepal tour takes you to the Eastern part of Nepal, accompanied by Mirik Lake, Darjeeling, Gangtok & Kalimpong. The main highlight of this tour is the famous tea garden in Illam Mirik Lake and various other sightseeing places of Darjeeling, including Tiger Hill, Gangtok city- the capital city of Sikkim with various famous sightseeing places including the famous Changu Lake and various scenic sightseeing points of Kalimpong.

Ilam is adorned with an almost limitless range of lush green tea gardens. The rolling hills covered with tea leaves are simply majestic. The thick white fogs alternatively descend to veil the gardens and then suddenly vanish.

Darjeeling is also known as ‘Queen of Hills’ is a beautiful hill station that lures thousands of tourists from India, Nepal, and Other countries. Gangtok is also a beautiful hill town and the capital of the north-eastern state of Sikkim. This is one place which many tourists like to combine along with a visit to Darjeeling. Meet and greet Swotah Team Dreaming about finding your true self in all those giant mountains, you will be landing in our compact yet hospitable airport. We will be receiving you at the airport and escorting you to our office for the detail discussion of the tour. Shortly after that you can breathe and relax at the hotel and we will gather together for a hearty dinner soon.

Next morning before breakfast we get on the Private vehicle to Ilam, breakfast and lunch will be served at restaurant on the way. We’ll reach Ilam by evening leaving us just the time for rest. Overnight at Ilam.

Day3

Darjeeling

Meals: Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner

Accommodation: Hotel

Soon after the breakfast we check out from hotel and visit tea garden. Ilam is very famous for tea production; we will visit the beautiful tea garden and enjoy organic and fresh tea straight from the local producers. If you wish you can buy organic tea to take it home. From Ilam we head towards India- Nepal border and crossing it we visit Mirik Lake. After brief rest we set on for final destination today; Darjeeling. We drive all the way to Darjeeling and stay overnight.

Darjeeling

Darjeeling also known as ‘Queen of hills’ once was part of Nepal so the people here still practice Nepali tradition and culture. Darjeeling is a beautiful city so we make sure to explore it well. After the breakfast we proceed for local half day sightseeing including Ghoom, Hanging garden, Monasteries etc. Rest of the day you free to explore your own.

Gangtok

Meals: Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner

Accommodation: Hotel

Most famous thing in Darjeeling is the sunrise from the Tiger Hill. Big flock of tourist visit Darjeeling to see the magnificent sunrise from the Tiger top. After watching the sunrise we have breakfast and head towards Gangtok, Sikkim. Culture of Sikkim is highly influenced by Nepali culture. After reaching we go for light sightseeing around the town and overnight at Gangtok.

Gangtok

Accommodation: Hotel

We leave hotel early in the morning after the breakfast and proceed for Chhangu Lake- near indo- China border. After visiting the Changu Lake we head back to hotel and take rest. If you wish you can tour the city on your own or with the guide. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day7

Kalimpong

Meals: Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner

Accommodation: Hotel

Next morning we depart from Gangtok and drive to Kalimpong. And after reaching there we settle for sightseeing of the kalimpong. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day8

Bhadrapur

Meals: Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner

Accommodation: Hotel

After breakfast, drive to Bhadrapur airport via Siliguri. Arrive Kakarvitta and check into hotel. Or you can take flight to Kathmandu from Bhadrapur airport for if you are running late on time. Overnight at hotel at Bhadrapur.

Day9

Kathmandu

Meals: Breakfast,Lunch

Accommodation: Hotel

If you stick to Itinerary, today we drive from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu early in the morning. We reach Kathmandu at the evening. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day10

Kathmandu

We go out of our way for the satisfaction of our clients and therefore as per your preference, we leave this day for you to do what you desire. We will then make necessary arrangement for the things that you prefer to do such as shop the souvenirs, herbal massage to relieve the pain, join the evening worship in Pashupatinath or may be exploring the city more.

Day11

Departure

The day for your departure finally comes and therefore we will do as much as we can to make this day worth to be cherished. We will have a short coffee break and share the bitter sweet memories of the tour and if time allows we can even have a friendly lunch together. Soon after that you will be transferred to the airport where we will be giving you a farewell in our traditional style.

1. Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon arrival

Yes, our representative will be there to greet you at the airport. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel by a private car/jeep.

2. What is the overnight accommodation like

We use standard/superior standard/deluxe rooms for the nights that you spend in hotel during your trip.

3. How big are the groups

We believe in operating small intimate group to provide personal attention and services to our guests. Small groups can enjoy the trip hassle free and enjoy the customized trip according to their need and suitability. We do not incorporate more than 14 People in a group, unless we get special requests from our clients.

4. Can I do solo trip

Nepal is a safe country for anyone who wants to explore on their own although professional guidance is highly recommended by our team for the safety.

5. Is travelling in Eastern Nepal Trip With Darjeeling safe for women

Yes, Nepal can boat as one of the safest country in South Asia for women. You will find people very friendly and respectful towards foreigners especially towards women. People here in Kathmandu are well taught about respecting any female person around them.

You can get wide range of delicious eastern as well as western foods like Pasta, Pizza, Noodles, Bread, Soup, Rice and Vegetables, delicious MoMo, etc.

9. Can we get safe drinking water during this trip

There are plenty of water stations and mini markets and shops where you can easily get bottled water. We recommend that you bring water purifier tablets with you in case you need it for yourself. You have to buy it for yourself.

10. What mode of transportation do you use

We use a private transportation for sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley and during trip you will be transfer on car, van and deluxe minibus with A/C depending on the size of the group.

11. What is the best season for trip

The Eastern Nepal Trip with Darjeeling can be done in every season to enjoy and view the natural beauty and attraction of Nepal but March, April, September and October are the best time to do this trip.

12. Will I be taken care of during emergency

Yes, of course. Your security is our first priority. In any kind of emergency, ask your guide to contact us immediately so that we can manage vehicle for you ASAP and you will be directly transfer to hospital for the treatment.

13. What is appropriate dress for Trip

As Eastern Nepal Trip with Darjeeling is not very much cold place, you will not have to carry heavy clothes. But make sure you bring at least one warm jacket in case of sudden weather change.

14. Is it possible to alternate or change the day trip

We customize the trip according to your preference but if you need to change plan during the trip, consult the guide.

15. Can I get an appropriate room before I reach the destination during the trip

We contact the hotel owner for reservation of the room before trip so that you can get appropriate room.

16. Are your guides, reliable and certified

All our guides are experts holding license from Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Government. They are the most valuable assets of the company. Guides know the route like the back of their hand and use their expertise in ensuring your safety in the mountains.

17. How can I charge my electronics during the trip

You can charge your electronics in the hotel where you stay and spend your nights by paying minimum amount.

18. Is there any communication while we are on trip

Yes, you will get telephone service which is available in the hotel you will be staying at. In case of emergency, you can also ask your guide for his/her help.

19. Can I add extra days to my trip

If you need extra day to complete the trip, you will need to inform the guide in advance and the guide will let the company know. Adding a day to trip can result in many changes in other arrangements such as transportation, guide’s schedule, flight details, hotel bookings and all. So, we really do not recommend this to our clients unless there is an emergency case. But it is true that those changes could be made but it will cost extra. The best way to do it is to inform the agent company about it.

20. What immunizations will I need

Before coming to Nepal, make sure you are covered for diphtheria & TB, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, malaria, typhoid, polio and tetanus. Make sure you are in best shape to complete the trip without any complication.

21. How will my booking be processed

To confirm your booking, a deposit of 15% of total trip amount is required if you are booking at least a year in advance before trip departure date. If booking is made between 100-364 days before the trip departure, you'll need to pay 20% to confirm the trip. If payment is made between 99-60 days, 25% of the total trip amount will need to be paid and if booked between 59-30 days, 50% of the total trip amount needs to be paid and finally, if you are booking 29 days prior to trip departure, then 100% payment should be made. The payments can be easily made by the bank transfer. The due balance is payable on arrival in Kathmandu with cash (preferably USD/EURO) or card on POS/credit card machine. Please note that non refundable fee is 10% or $200 whichever is greater.

22. Can we use the credit card during this trip

Yes, you can use the credit card during the hiking. But make sure you withdraw few amount in case of emergency.

23. Do we need to carry our bags by our self or you will provide porters

You have to carry your personal bags with water bottle yourself and medicines will be carried by your guide in case of need.
