The Trip for a Trip (T4T) Programme is a meaningful initiative of Responsible Travel, aimed at providing educational travel opportunities for children who may not otherwise have the chance to explore their own country. On 2 May 2025, the programme was organized by Swotah Travel in collaboration with Responsible Travel, bringing together 80 students aged 10 to 15 from Shree Diwas Secondary School and Shree Sahid Krishna Secondary School in Pokhara for a day of learning, discovery, and inspiration. Through visits to iconic destinations including Pumdikot Shiva Statue, Devi’s Fall, the International Mountain Museum, and Phewa Lake, students experienced the cultural, natural, and historical treasures that make Nepal a unique tourism destination.
Beyond sightseeing, the programme aimed to foster awareness about responsible tourism, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation. Throughout the day, students learned how tourism contributes to local communities and why protecting heritage sites and natural resources is essential for future generations. Interactive discussions, educational experiences, and hands-on activities encouraged the children to take pride in their country and become ambassadors for sustainable tourism. The overwhelming enthusiasm and positive feedback from both students and teachers highlighted the programme's lasting impact, making it a memorable journey that combined education, adventure, and personal growth.
