Trip Overview
About the Jaljala Trek
Jaljala Trek is a newly opened trekking area since October 2009, which is situated in the Rolpa district in the Midwestern part of Nepal. Rolpa district is one of the least developed districts of Nepal in terms of infrastructure, but this place has immense potential to be one of the best tourist destinations of Nepal there as it goes through the Dhorpatan hunting reserve, which is the only hunting reserve in Nepal. In the Nepalese context, Rolpa district is also known as a historic place as it’s the main epicentre of the Maoist revolution in Nepal that took the lives of more than 10,000 Nepalese people.
Jaljala Trek is more like a village-to-village trek. During the Jaljala trek, we will pass through the green meadows and the Rhododendron forest, and can view the picturesque village, different varieties of Flora and Fauna, and amazing mountain views, including Mt. Sisne, Mt. Putha, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna and much more. The area of the Jaljala trek is mainly inhabited by the Magar Committee, which is rich in culture and tradition. Not only Magar, but we can also see the settlements of Chhetri, Newar, and Thakuri people as well.
Tipping Recommendation
We recommend allocating 10-15% of your total tour cost to tipping guides, drivers, and other hardworking staff who ensure your experience is unforgettable. While tipping is not mandatory, it is a meaningful way to support the seasonal workers who dedicate themselves to making your trip extraordinary.
By booking with us and participating in the tipping culture, you are directly contributing to Nepal’s local economy and helping sustain the tourism workforce. This support is crucial in retaining talent within the country and addressing challenges like brain drain.
Your generosity makes a lasting impact—thank you!
